For this update, we decided to focus on the fine details - everything from bugs, decorations, small props, and some VFX to make your actions feel more responsive and rewarding. As we continue to go through this process of add, polish, add, polish, we hope to receive more feedback on how we are doing with those efforts.
Feature Changes
- Charge Shot: If you let go of the charge shot too early, it drops to the ground
Art Changes
- Props: Several props have been added to the game
- Water Effect: A water effect has been added to the fountains
- Level Decoration: Several sections of the level decorations have been updated
- Flamingo: Shoot the flamingos for a fun surprise
- Statute Enemy: Added lasers that shoot out of the eyes
- Watch UI: Green/red values are tuned to be more precise, but bugs will still be present
Balances
- Player Health: Health that you receive from enemies have been turned up slightly, as players reported that the major decrease punished them for any wasted second
Bug Fixes
- Slide Jump: Animation has been added for slide jumps
- Muzzle Flash: Now works with sliding
- Reset Enemies: Resetting the level now resets the levels
- Enemy Health: The enemies now die after being shot
- Enemy Sounds: Enemy sounds that were missing have been re-added
Final Thoughts
We have several upcoming level changes that we’re excited to be sharing in the future. We are also parsing through feedback on the enemies and are going to attempt to balance those a bit more so that players can have the most enjoyable experience without feeling either bored or frustrated.
